Week of January 26-January 30, 2015
We
are so excited for the upcoming 100th day of school on February
3rd. Keep working on those 100 Day t-shirts….we are excited to
show off at our parade at 8:15. We hope you can join us for
the parade.

Healthy Teeth and
Friends
Reading: We are working hard to improve
our reading skills in literacy stations and guided reading groups! All mid year
testing is completed...hooray!
Writing: Non-fiction writing- what do we notice about non fiction
text? For example- we see table of contents, charts, glossary,
etc.

Math: We continue to focus on problem solving and
counting to 100. Our math stations this week are reviewing area,
perimeter, tally marks, and reading numbers 0-100. We are
beginning to decompose numbers, which is an early step to addition and
subtraction. We will take time to explore the many combinations that make 4 and
5.

Taking care of our teeth J
Homework: Read 20 minutes
every night.
Optional Activities:
- Monday: Make a list of 5 IN words?
- Tuesday: Tell your parents how you can keep your teeth healthy.
- Wednesday: Count to 100 to your mom or dad!
- Thursday: Visit www.raz-kids.com
- Friday: Pack up your library books and practice your home reader! Send your home reader back to school on Monday!
