It has been a fun first week in our new classroom and school. We have learned our routines and gotten busy. We are now doing our lunch count on the active board which has been an adjustment, but the kids LOVE using it. We have been talking about nonfiction in Writer's Workshop and in a few weeks hopefully everyone will give nonfiction writing a try. Today we read Sneezy the Snowman and practiced writing with quotation marks on our melted snowmen. We also had our library orientation so books may come home today. In a couple weeks, we will be back to our normal Monday library day so start finding all those library books. I will be doing reading groups next week so expect to start seeing home reader bags come home next Friday. Have a wonderful weekend!
