NEW WORDS: MAKE, UP
Word Study:
We are leaving the world of short vowels and moving into long vowels. Our
work begins with silent e words. We will look for silent e at the end of
a word to makes the initial vowel long. Click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD9dwkrUf8s or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBP-AW29YDk
for cute songs that explain how the silent e works.
Math:
We will review identifying coins by name and challenge the kids to identify
coins by their value. Problem solving, and combinations of numbers to 7 will
also be covered this week.
Science:
Now that we know all about soil, we’ll look at earthworms and how they help
make soil rich for plant growth. Later in the week, we’ll begin our study
of plants and living things.

To go along with our Language Arts focus, we will learn all about the great
state of Texas!

minutes every night.
