Kindergarten News
Week of March 7 - March 11, 2016
This Friday will be our Field Day! If you purchased a shirt, it will arrive this
week. If you didn’t purchase a shirt, no
worries. The theme is Boot Camp. The kids could wear camo or whatever they
would like. Please send a lunch from
home that day! Make sure your child has a water bottle, as well. Kindergarten’s time will be 8:30-10:00. Feel free to join us…extra hands are always
welcome! Lunch will be at a different
time that day (11:00).
Theme: Finishing Texas and
Beginning our study of Plants!
Reading: Shared reading and
interactive read-alouds about cowboys and cowgirls/plants, focus on predicting
events and comprehension.
Writing: We are finishing our Texas writing this week!

Optional Activities:
- Monday: See how many of our sight
words you can read? Make flash
cards for any words you do not know.
- Tuesday: Make a list of 10 “EN” words.
- Wednesday: Visit
www.raz-kids.com
- Thursday: Write a math story using two numbers that
can be combined to make seven. (Ex: 4 longhorns were branded, then 3 more.
How many all together?)
- Friday: Return your library books to school.
