class picture is THURSDAY!! Dress cute and smile pretty J. Class pictures need to
be preordered. Send your envelopes WITH
checks or credit card info. Individual
pictures will also be taken and you can order those later.

Spring Break is the
week of March 14-18th!
Theme: Cowboys and the rodeo
Reading: Shared reading and
interactive read-alouds about cowboys and cowgirls, focus on predicting events
and comprehension.
Writing: We are writing again this week about cowboys and the rodeo.

Math: Continuing to explore problem solving and combinations of numbers

Homework: Read 20 minutes every night.
Optional Activities:
- Monday: Make up your own
three-sentence story about a cowboy or cowgirl and draw an illustration to
go with it.
- Tuesday: Make a list of 10 “EST” words.
- Wednesday: Visit
www.raz-kids.com
- Thursday: Write a math story using two numbers that
can be combined to make seven. (Ex: 2 cows were branded, then 5 more. How
many all together?)
- Friday: Return your library books to school.
