Week of March 21- March 25, 2016
Now that Spring
Break is over, the rest of the school year will fly by quickly! We hope everyone had a good break. There will
be lots of learning going on between now and the end of this school year!
If you haven’t done
so, please sign and return your child’s report card envelope.
Theme: Living Things and Plants
Reading: Shared reading and
interactive read-alouds about plants and their needs, with focus on the
elements of non-fiction writing.
Writing: Plants and spring.

Math: Review combining

Science: Living Things/ Plants
Homework: Read 20 minutes every night.
Optional Activities:
- Monday: Write 5 sentences about what you
did on Spring Break and draw a picture to illustrate it.
- Tuesday: Make a list of 10 “UG” words
- Wednesday: Practice
your sight words. Make flash cards
with words your child does not know.
- Thursday: Write a math story using two numbers that
can be combined to make nine. (Ex: 2 plants bloomed in the garden. Then 7
more bloomed. How many were blooming altogether?)
- Friday: Pack up your library
books and practice your home reader!
